This small needle felted solar system set includes all nine planets plus the sun, hand sculpted from premium sheep's wool in my Ontario studio. It's the most compact of my three solar system sets - small enough to tuck into a pocket, a stocking, or a teacher's desk drawer, and a lovely first introduction to the planets for younger space fans.
WHAT'S INCLUDED The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune Optional add-ons: Pluto, Earth's Moon, and the dwarf planets Eris, Ceres, Haumea and Makemake (Haumea is oval in shape). Every set ships in a hand stamped cotton muslin drawstring storage bag.
SIZE The largest piece is The Sun and it's approximately the size of a golf ball. The smallest piece in this set is Mercury, approximately the size of a marble. The dwarf planets are approximately the size of a large pea.
MATERIALS & CARE Premium sheep's wool and hand dyed wool roving. Spot clean only. Not suitable for children under 3 due to small parts.
MADE TO ORDER Each set is created after you order, usually about two weeks. I'll send you photos of your finished set before it ships.
