This large needle felted solar system set includes all nine planets plus the sun, hand sculpted from premium sheep's wool in my Ontario studio. It's the biggest of my three solar system sets, with pieces sized for confident handling, making it a favourite for classrooms, homeschool science lessons, and Montessori or Waldorf-style play.
WHAT'S INCLUDED The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune Optional add-ons: Pluto, Earth's Moon, and the dwarf planets Eris, Ceres, Haumea and Makemake (Haumea is oval in shape). Every set ships in a hand stamped cotton muslin drawstring storage bag.
SIZE The sun is the largest, approximately 10-11" in circumference (about the size of a large grapefruit). The smallest is Mercury, approximately 6-7" in circumference (about the size of a golf ball. Dwarf planets vary from approximately the size of a walnut to the size of a large grape.
MATERIALS & CARE Premium sheep's wool and hand dyed wool roving. Spot clean only. Not suitable for children under 3 due to small parts.
MADE TO ORDER Each set is created after you order, usually about two weeks. I'll send you photos of your finished set before it ships.

Absolutely LOVE these. Beautifully made and lovingly labeled & packaged. I made some laminated planet cards and labels to use with these. My girls are enjoying matching and labeling each planet.
