A needle felted solar system garland, with each planet and the sun hand sculpted from premium sheep's wool in my Ontario studio and strung in orbital order. It makes a warm, tactile alternative to printed space decor - lovely above a cot, along a shelf, or in a homeschool or classroom corner.
WHAT'S INCLUDED The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune strung on a hemp cord. The planets can slide along the line. Planets are placed on the garland, in proper order from the sun. Optional add-ons: Pluto and the dwarf planets.
SIZE The Sun is the biggest, a little bigger than a golf ball; the smallest are the dwarf planets and they are about the size of a large pea. The garland length varies with each set, approximately 12-24” long depending how many pieces the garland includes.
MATERIALS & CARE Premium sheep's wool and hand dyed wool roving. Spot clean only. Hang out of reach of children under 3 due to small parts and cord.
MADE TO ORDER Each garland is created after you order, usually about two weeks. I'll send you photos of your finished garland before it ships.
